UnHuman Shorts AI Filmmakers Ranking
A curated visibility index mapping established leaders and emerging creators in AI filmmaking. The ranking is based on 12 criteria including partnerships, awards, tools mastery, authorship, innovation, and international presence.
How we built this ranking
The UnHuman Shorts AI Filmmakers Ranking was created as a curated visibility index, not as a competition or award.

Our goal was to map the current AI filmmaking landscape – from widely recognized leaders to emerging creators – and make this field more visible, connected, and discoverable.

Our approach
We reviewed publicly available creator profiles and works, focusing specifically on AI-driven video and filmmaking practices.

Each creator was assessed using a set of 12 qualitative criteria, including:
- creative authorship and originality
- use of AI tools and production pipelines
- innovation and experimentation
- professional activity and collaborations
- public presence and international visibility

These criteria were considered together, not in isolation. No single factor (such as follower count or awards) determined placement on its own.

What this ranking represents

This ranking reflects visibility within the field at the time of publication.
It is designed to highlight different stages of creative development – from established figures to emerging voices – rather than to define absolute quality or hierarchy.

The list will continue to evolve as:
- new tools appear
- new works are released
- new creators enter the field

UnHuman Shorts acts here as a curator of the landscape, not a judge.
